Aloha, I’m running for Congress because I think both parties are failing the people of America and Hawaii.

Gas prices are out of control. We can barely afford groceries. Our schools are not doing the job they should be doing. Our economy is headed for the rocks.

But the politicians can only point fingers and blame one another without ever taking responsibility. They play political games while we suffer.

I've operated a business on the Big Island for 6 years. Before that, I worked to solve problems with some of the biggest tech companies in the United States.

I know how to bring people from very different perspectives and backgrounds together to solve problems. I believe we need that now more than ever.

I hope to earn your trust and your vote. In the meantime, please sign up to get updates. Let's get Hawaii, and America, moving again. Mahalo and aloha.

Joe Webster

About Joe

I was born in a small suburban town to a single mom who worked night and day to pay the bills. At 14, I tested out of high school and received a diploma. I started at community college when I was 15, but had to drop out because we couldn't afford the $40 to purchase books.

We lived in a trailer park, and had little money, but thanks to an amazing mom we got by. To help out, I pumped gas, built cabinets and taught myself about computers.

I've always been a problem solver. I got a job as tech support at a computer company and rose through the ranks to work in Research and Development.

Eventually I went to work at Pay Pal as a Project Manager and jack-of-all-trades.

I moved to Hawaii about 6 years ago and started a small business renting jeeps on the Big Island to tourists.

When Kilauea erupted, I spent weeks calling and emailing news outlets and tourism experts to make them realize that our islands weren't on fire and the small businesses here were still operating.

In fact, I started the group, "Big Island Open for Business" to champion and gain support for our community's local businesses.

When the pandemic hit, we were shut down hard. I spent much of my time shuttling residents around in the back of my pickup because taxis weren't allowed to operate.

When Delta hit, we were shut down again. Nobody in the government seemed to really care about the hardship our people and our businesses suffered.

I made the decision to drive change rather than complain. That's why I'm running for Congress. And it's why I hope you'll support my campaign.

A Plan for the Future

Fight inflation with responsible fiscal policy and a business approach to governance.

Defend parents' rights to be involved with education, and give families more choice which schools their children attend.

Restore competence and accountability to our political representation.

Fight for the rights of every American to receive a livable wage and be treated with respect, dignity, and equality.

Pass sensible rules that keep guns out of the hands of those who would use them to hurt others.
